I found the SLAM book to be pretty informative.
As a company we have already migrated to the Managed Service Business Model, reading through the book was very reassuring as we had already implemented a large amount of the processes within our business.
There is a great deal of information within the book that would help a Break / Fix company make the transition easily both from a practical point but also more importantly by giving themselves the right mindset to run an MSP.
I would recommend this book to anyone hoping to make the transition.
The marketing material and ideas aren’t really appropriate for the UK market but then anyone who is already in business should be able to build upon their existing marketing techniques.
